Laura Ashley velvet mannequin ~ Charlotte

I've been wanting to use velvet for such a long time and this week I found some personal free time to make Charlotte. Working with velvet can be tricky but she worked out rather well and I am very pleased with her. I love this shade too, very rich and sumptuous ~ I think a gold painted stand and top would go well with it ~ perfect for Christmas!!

My eldest daughter has been busy too! Her first term at secondary school is going well and she is settling in wonderfully. Today she struggled home carrying in her backpack football kit & schoolbooks and in her arms a most precious item.....apple and blackberry crumble!
She has always been a keen cook, baking buns at 7am when everyone else is in bed so I think she had a good day....I'm sure we shall hear more over pudding!!

Hi Lucy,
Thanks for popping over; don't worry Im not going to give you lines for bad grammar (I bet that's what everyone thinks now - I knew I shouldn't have admitted that!)
Stunning mannequins btw!
