A confession.....I also love vintage chandeliers!!

My secret is out......I love vintage chandeliers nearly as much as I love my mannequins! The way they sparkle, the way they ooze decandence. I can't help it, I can't resist them. But with only a modest home, with low ceilings I can only keep the smallest for myself. The others I sell on Ebay under my sellers name absolutely*vintage.

I can't tell you how wonderful it is to clean a filthy grey lump of glass and see it sparkle and glisten as you pull it from the hot soapy water......my idea of heaven!! Gosh, I'm a simple girl at heart.

Me too! Although I don't actually own any (well apart from a tiny one in the bathroom which almost doesn't count!) However, I do collect the individual old lustres and make Christmas decorations from them ~ I can't resist the sparkle!

What a beautiful blog you have. I felt rested and inspired while I visited. I love the sparkle, too, however, tea cups and saucers are my passion.... quilting, too. Have a great day!

Hi Lucy,
Simple girl or not, I'm in total agreement!
And making things with odd crystal drops is fun too...

~HOLA LUCY: UNIQUE SITE, I LOVE IT!! AND I LOVE VINTAGE CHANDELIERS TOO. I OWN A SMALL GERMAN ONE (THAT IS IN WORKING CONDITION) THAT I FOUND IN A THRIFT SHOP AT FORT BLISS, TEXAS. IT IS HANGING OUTSIDE IN MY BACK PATIO/PORCH ABOVE MY ANTIQUE WICKER FURNITURE AND IT LOOKS GORGEOUS & SPARKLY, & I DIDN'T POLISH IT BECAUSE I THOUGHT THAT IT LOOKED EVEN BETTER WITH HIS OLD PATINA.
