Laurie's corsets and more....

A few months ago I came across a fabulous corset/costume maker, Laurie.  She actually bought one of my wasp waist mannequins for a corset she was designing.  Ever since then I have been amazed by her fabulous creations.  I'm sure you will agree what a talented lady she is.

Stunning colours here and I'm trying to work out how the lacing works!

From one of my favourite periods, this Edwardian styled dress is so elegant.

Beautiful pale blue and white striped corset.  Wonder how the front is fashioned?

This Renaisance styled dress is absolutely amazing.  Made using silk damask, silk dupioni, linen and wool.  And, I think Laurie, as model!

Laurie very kindly sent me two photos of one corset in progress and completed dressed on one of my wasp waist mannequins.  The colours work so well together.  I think that was one of Lauries decisions to purchase.

I often visit and droll over Lauries designs and she is happy to share how she works as her blog shows photos of work in progress.  Click here to see how this Regency corset below was made.

Hope you have enjoyed Lauries work. Lucyxx

Hello Lucy

What beautiful corsets, I have just visited Laurie's website. I love corsets and have a few but couldn't wear one for a whole day. I just don't know how women did it all those years ago.

Warm wishes
