It's finished....

...and it only took 2 years! My recovered leather armchair.  I think it looks fab and I had enough fabric to make a lovely large feather filled cushion to rest on the back.  In the end it only took about 2 hours this afternoon to complete...why didn't I do it earlier.
The daffs are an early Mother's Day gift from my youngest daughter.  She couldn't wait until tomorrow.  And can you see the half finshed crochet blanket?  That's yet another ongoing project...one which I fear will run for many years to come, especially as I have found a new quilting passion (more on that later).
Hope your Saturday has been productive too.  I'm off to the bootsale again tomorrow...hope I find some bargains. Lucyxx

Hi Lucy - can't remember if I've left a comment before - but I really want to say how much I enjoy reading your 'bloggings'. I failed to vote for my preferred fabric for the leather chair because I didn't consider any of them were right, but secretly thought the nearest was the brownish one you were apparently discarding. So am very glad that you must have agreed and have used a lovely brown toned fabric which I think looks terrific. (BTW I wonder if you're off to the same car boot as me tomorrow somewhere in the southwest. Mmmmn will need to get there even earlier then!)

Love the finished chair, looks very classy!

I'm off to my first bootsale tomorrow with my mum, it is a giant indoor one at our local animal shelter. Been having withdrawal symptons over winter so really looking forward to it.

Hope we all find lots of goodies :o) xx
