Designers Guild

I've always admired the fabrics from the Designers Guild.  They look so amazing in the DG roomsets.  The only problem is that the scale is usually far too large for tailoring a mannequin but can you imagine a mannequin tailored in one of these beauties?

I'm drooling! but never mind.  I have used a fabulous DG fabric called Sanssouchi in Cocoa which is from the Amalienborg collection.  A stunning linen/cotton with metalic highlights inspired by an 18th century Rococo design...good enough to eat!  I've called her Suki and she is available in five colourways.

Check out more photos here CLM Website
and its always an inspiration to visit the Designers Guild website.

I am waiting for some new "interesting and unusual" fabrics to be delivered to the CLM workroom.  I only ordered them yesterday but I'm already impatient to get started!

Drool! I see Trianon there - such a pity it is too big for my 'Pompadour' suggestion though...

All beautiful Lucy, I really love the poppy fabric..... would that large scale print work on your mannequins?
It would be quite dramatic....

funny how you don't think of something for years, and then a memory comes flooding back...(I'm sounding like a real old biddy now!)...
when I was married 1st time around back in the 80s, we had a cosy little twee thatched cottage and with taste on the scale I still have today, I fell in love with a very bold DG fabric of tulips in pale blues and yellows.
Think EIGHTIES here and you can imagine the print :))
Well, I just HAD to use it for furnishing didn't I.
Everyone said it won't work and you know- they were quite right!!
Of course the eventual soloution was to keep the fabric and lose the husband, but thats a story best forgotten!

The mannis look divine, as always

Love the first one - it'd look gorgeous on a mannequin....but then all your mannequins are beautiful!
