Corset Laced Mannequins in Sew magazine....

...no I really am!  Unlike Vogue,  Sew mag kept me in.  (sorry, I won't mention VOGUE again!)

Its a lovely feature for the more curvaceous ladies amongst us.
There is also a gorgeous free dress pattern which I might have to make for Christmas.  I've been wanting to do some dressmaking for ages but never seem to find the time.
Perhaps this is the it!

I also wanted to give you a preview of a new mannequin fabric....
....its different and I love it.  More photos of the completed mannequin coming soon.
Many thanks to Sophie from Sew magazine.

Good for Sew! Although not my usual reading, I shall look for a copy to buy this week. I used to do a lot of dressmaking but not for years and years. Though quite enjoy hand sewing tasks and adore wooden cotton reels of which I have quite a collection.

And LOVE the new fabric. Can't wait to see the finished mannequin.

BTW I have a vintage Stockman mannequin (body only, stand collapsed from woodworm) for sale. Would you be interested?

that's great news for you! makes up for the other disappointment in a big way. Good luck on some new clientele then!
